What you can raise here
- Removal of content that infringes your rights — defamation, impersonation, intellectual-property, privacy, harassment.
- A complaint about another user's behaviour on the platform.
- A request to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act (access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent).
- Any other grievance about the Service.
How to file a grievance
- If your grievance is a privacy / data-rights request and you have an account, submit it from the DPDP requests page — it goes straight into our queue.
- Otherwise, email the Grievance Officer at grievance@odito.in with:
- Your full name and contact details.
- A description of the issue.
- The URL of the relevant listing, message, or page.
- Any supporting documents (a copy of an ID for impersonation claims, a takedown notice for IP claims).
- For very sensitive complaints (impersonation, fraud, threats) you may also use the postal address.
Service-level commitments
- Acknowledgement: within 24 hours of receipt.
- Resolution: within 15 days of receipt, per Rule 3(2)(b) of the IT Rules 2021.
- Removal of certain unlawful content (non-consensual intimate imagery, content impersonating another person): within 24 hours of a substantiated complaint, per Rule 3(2)(b).
We log every grievance — date received, action taken, date resolved — for audit. The log is reviewed monthly.
If you are not satisfied
If our response does not resolve your grievance, you may escalate to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up under Rule 3A of the IT Rules 2021 at www.gac.gov.in, or the Data Protection Board of India for DPDP-related matters once it is constituted.
What we cannot help with here
- Disputes between buyers and sellers about price, condition, or delivery of an item — Odito is not a party to those transactions.
- Police matters — please file an FIR locally; we will cooperate with lawful orders.
